"From Me to We": Building A Culture of Wellness for Leaders and Managers

Leaders and managers play a pivotal role in promoting wellness at the workplace. This training is a 6-part journaling workshop series designed for leaders and managers to develop beliefs and routines to sustain themselves, serve as positive role models for change, and explore real changes to workplace practices that support a culture of compassion and wellness.

In this guided journaling workshop series, leaders and managers are guided to use journaling to dig deep and identify their conscious and subconscious barriers to wellness. We then move through the journey of releasing those obstacles and shifting to a mindset of wellness - the basis for building a culture of wellness. Leaders and managers explore of how their policies, practices, and behaviors impact the well-being of their teams, especially unintentionally. Leaders and managers craft visions for wellness - for themselves in their roles and for their teams and organizations.

This journaling workshop series provides a dedicated safe space and brave space for in-depth reflection, learning, and peer support, and transformation among leaders and managers.

This 6-part journaling workshop series focuses on doing the necessary reflection to advance racial healing and racial equity in your organization, using our Racial Healing Journals. For aspiring anti-racists, this series creates a safe space and brave space to come to terms with white privilege, change deeply held beliefs that unintentionally perpetuate racism, break old habits, and build new ones that advance racial healing and equity. It also provides space for people of color to breathe, process experiences of racism to facilitate healing, come back to self-love and love for one another, and celebrate each other, and explore strategies to advance shared liberation.

3. Planned Agenda

Prior to a workshop, every organization receives an agenda and outline with proposed prompts. Leaders can provide feedback to tailor the experience, as needed.

4. Guided Journaling

Standard workshops are one hour and can be held in-person or virtually, based on your organization’s location. Journaling sessions include breathing exercises, ways to journal, 2-3 rounds of journaling prompts, facilitated share outs, and suggestions to further build the practice.
